The elegant four-storey office building at the Lange Gasse in Basel has around 300 workplaces and was planned in 2000 by the architects Burkhardt + Partner and implemented by
Allreal.
The Basel branch of LGT Bank (Schweiz) AG is the anchor tenant of the property, along with five other tenants.
General Planning Poloni gmbh carries out a dual mandate in this building.
On the one hand, it is responsible for the planning and realisation of the basic extension for the owner AXA and, at the same time, for the tenant extension for LGT Bank (Switzerland) Ltd.
The focus of the tenant fit-out was the renovation of the entire customer zone, as well as the infrastructure of the interconnected bank areas. The entire conversion took place during operation and partly in parallel with the longer-lasting basic extension. The redesigned areas of the customer zones communicate with the original building fabric using high-quality materials and earthy colours. The result is a new interplay that respects the original architecture and at the same time brings it into the present.
